This bat wing mug is made of kiln fired ceramic clay and finished with lead free matte glaze that is domestically sourced. The inside of this mug is smooth for easy care, there are no crevices or areas that cannot be easily cleaned, the inside is finished in lead free black gloss glaze. You should AVOID any mug or cup that have items added to the bottom (inside) as this has great potential for bacteria to hide and grow..
