Pinecone Personal Size Tea Bag Holder Pine Cone Spoon Rest Rustic Woodland Cabin Decor

This ceramic Pinecone can be used as a personal size holder for tea bags, coffee pods, or as a small spoon rest, catch all or as a table placesetting accent.  It is a great way to add the feel of a rustic mountain lodge nestled in the piney woodlands or to add a special accent to your kitchen or dining decor. Makes a great catch all on an end table, night stand or dresser.

The golden brown pine cone measures:

• 3 inches wide
• 4 1/2 inches long.

This piece is hand made from earthenware clay slip and fired in my kiln.  The glaze used on the ceramic pinecone is a non-toxic art glaze.  Art glazes are classified as a glaze that produce more than a single-colored smooth finish.  Three full coats of glaze are applied by hand with a brush, then it is fired in the kiln a second time.  During the second firing process the art glaze flows over the piece, areas with detail will collect glaze causing a dual coloring.  The ’dual’ coloring enhances the detail between and on the individual scales of each cone. This pinecone is dishwasher & food safe and the colors or design will not wash off, fade or peel.
