Mushroom Plant Tender Red Cap with White Dots Ceramic Hydro Spike, Water Sitter

This large mushroom with a red cap and white dots is a plant tender or watering spike. The ceramic mushroom or toadstool plant tender is 2 pieces, the cap is removable and the stem is the water reservoir. 

Plant Tenders are designed to keep outdoor hanging flower baskets, garden containers or indoor potted house plants watered without constant attention. They also help avoid overwatering plants. Plant sitters are easy to use, just insert the cone spike into the soil and fill the reservoir with water. The soil absorbs the water through the porous cone, just fill the reservoir when needed. Aqua Spikes work well to keep plants watered while you are away.

Dimensions:

• 5 1/2 inches tall overall (4 ¼” without cap)
• 2 inch diameter (cap is 3 inches in diameter)
• Opening at top is approx. 2 inch diameter
• Drainage spike that is inserted into the soil is approx. 2 1/2 inches long.     

This plant tender is made of hand cast clay slip using a plaster mold for uniformity and fired in my kiln. Each piece is glazed by hand and fired in my kiln a second time.  All glaze used is non-toxic. 

Please note due to being handpainted the placement of the white dots will vary on the one you receive from the one in the photo.
