The large mug holds approximately 20 ounces, it has a large bold handle for ease of use - the bottom is smooth with a large base area. This black ceramic cauldron or kettle style mug is made to be used for either hot or cold beverages, the entire mug is glazed in food safe people friendly lead free glaze giving it a totally macabre or look.

***Please note: The inside of this mug is smooth for easy care, there are no crevices or areas that cannot be easily cleaned. The handles on my mugs are cast solid and inside around this area is smooth with no deep recesses. You should AVOID any cup with hollow handles or that have items added to the bottom (inside) as this has great potential for bacteria to hide and grow and it may cause health issues.***
